About Us:

The Landline Company (landlineco.com) is an innovative ground transportation company that connects airline passengers to major airports through premium motorcoach service in partnership with airlines including American Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, and Air Canada.

In June, we are launching service supporting Framingham, MA and Boston Logan International Airport, allowing passengers to check in and transfer luggage seamlessly between our vehicles and partner flights.

The Role:
We’re seeking Airport Escort Drivers (Ramp Drivers) to join our Boston-area team. In this role, you will operate a sedan or pickup truck to escort and support a motor coach traveling between Framingham, MA and and Boston Logan International Airport, including operations within the airport’s Air Operations Area (AOA).

This is a hands-on, safety-critical role that involves driving on the ramp, guiding vehicles, marshaling, and coordinating bus movements within a busy airport environment. The ideal candidate is highly attentive, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced aviation setting.

Training will be in Framingham/Natick until deployed to work at Logan Airport (1 Harborside Drive, East Boston, MA 02128.)

Responsibilities:

  • Operate vehicles within the AOA (Air Operations Area) and airport ramp environment
  • Follow all airport safety protocols and traffic regulations
  • Maintain constant awareness of surroundings in a high-risk, high-traffic environment
  • Serve as a Ramp Driver/Escort, guiding buses and other vehicles safely
  • Escort the bus to marshal vehicles and assist with positioning at gates for parking and drop-off locations through the AOA gate
  • Track incoming bus status as it approaches Boston
  • Upon arrival, receive and review required manifest documentation
  • Physically inspect the bus by checking seal numbers against documentation to ensure all seals match, discrepancies are critical and must be escalated immediately
  • Provide verification before proceeding
  • Guide passengers safely during drop-offs (typically two staff per vehicle)
  • Assist with unloading luggage from the motor coach, welcome passengers, and assist with directing passengers to their proper gate
  • Maintain a visible safety presence throughout passenger movement
  • Prepare bags for airline handling (e.g., staging for airline agents such as Delta or JetBlue) while following proper safety techniques

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Experience driving in urban and highway environments preferred
  • Ability to maintain focus and situational awareness during extended driving periods
  • Ability to communicate clearly with drivers and operations staff and execute customer service greetings with passengers
  • Ability to pass a preemployment DOT drug test including marijuana and to participate in random drug and alcohol testing  (this is a USDOT safety-sensitive position)
  • Ability to pass a preemployment criminal background check to obtain a badge to access secure airport locations
  • Ability to work at approximately 3:30 AM any day of the week, including Sunday, Saturday, and holidays.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and company protocols
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Reliable personal transportation to and from the work location required
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Experience in Airport Operations or Customer Service at Boston Logan preferred
