Job description

What We're Looking For

This position will support the Client's office assisting in administrative duties associated with construction project budgets, estimates, progress reports, time entry and other relevant tasks.

The opportunity entails being responsible for learning and observing inspections. Receives on-the-job training, observes the work of contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance for roadway, structure, and bridge construction projects, under the direction of a Construction Manager or their designee.

What You'll Do:

  • Performs daily assigned inspection tasks in a training capacity preparatory to assuming the duties of an inspector.
  • Observes inspections of excavations, drainage structures, traffic control devices, road surfaces, and structures.
  • Assists in preparing project records and forming reports.
  • Receives on-the-job and required agency classroom training to obtain designated certifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.

  • Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, with work reviewed by supervisor before submission.
  • Knows basic math skills.
