Unarmed Security Officer - Traffic Officer

The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures.Shifts: Thursday-Monday (9am-5:30pm)

Hourly starting wage: $22.50/Hr

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth and efficient flow of traffic within the airport premises.
  • Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic using appropriate signals and signage.
  • Monitor and manage drop-off and pick up zones to prevent congestion.
  • Patrol parking areas to enforce airport regulations.
  • Provide directions, information, and assistance to passengers and other airport users.
  • Maintain communication within airport security, law enforcement and emergency services.
  • Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules
  • Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance
  • Investigate and prepare reports on incidents

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have a valid Security Guard License
  • Must have one (2) year of experience as a security officer
  • Must have open availability to work all shifts and schedules
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have good communications skills
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs on a daily basis.
  • Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods
  • Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior
