About the Job

Cityside Fiber seeks a Flagger I (Traffic Control) to join our OSP Division, ensuring safe traffic flow around active work zones. This role is critical to protecting both crews and the public during fiber installation projects. Success requires alertness, physical stamina, and strong communication skills to thrive in dynamic outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

  • Direct vehicular/pedestrian traffic using signs, hand signals, and barricades.
  • Set up, adjust, and remove traffic control devices per site requirements.
  • Monitor work zones for compliance with safety regulations and report hazards.
  • Collaborate with crews and supervisors to coordinate traffic movements.
  • Maintain and properly use safety gear and traffic equipment.
  • Uphold Cityside Fiber’s values of trust, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • 6+ months of traffic control or related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy equipment, and work in all weather.
  • Basic knowledge of traffic control practices and safety protocols.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Strong communicator who remains calm under pressure.
