Job description

As a Trade Support Analyst within the Whole Loans Securitized Products Group team, you will work with a wide array of internal teams and outside vendors to facilitate the purchase, sale, and securitization of mortgage loans. Your primary responsibilities will include timely and accurate entry of transactions for various trading desks, monitoring and performing various controls, and liaising with internal teams to ensure mortgage loans are funding timely. You will gain exposure to all aspects of the mortgage loan life cycle from origination to securitization, the analysis of mortgage loans, and will work with management and technology on process improvement. You will work closely with trading, senior management, technology, audit, compliance, and transaction management in the performance of their assigned duties. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Trade booking and data enrichment for new issue bond underwritings
  • Reconciliation of trades between front and backend trading systems
  • Understanding system flow and front to back operations of trade processing including settlements, P&L and confirms
  • Preparing or "cracking" raw mortgage-related data into normalized fields for analysis
  • Preparing funding schedules for loan purchases and sales to facilitate fundings in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintaining a strong control environment by performing and improving upon existing controls
  • Working with technology on defining, testing, and implementing system and processes improvements
  • Running metrics for senior management, as well as ad-hoc data requests/analysis
  • Provide operational support for and partner with various internal teams within the Whole Loans Securitized Products space including trading, sales, due diligence, analytics, banking, and transaction management

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Strong time management: organization skills and prioritization of tasks a must 
  • Ability to re-prioritize "on-the-fly"
  • PC Literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Able to identify and resolve issues with minimum supervision
  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Extremely detail-oriented and controls focused
  • Adaptability to learn new tasks & demonstrate willingness to understand the detail of a process
