Job description

Our client is a capital markets technology firm based in Jersey City, NJ, providing trading and market infrastructure solutions to institutional clients. As the business continues to grow, they are expanding their trading operations coverage team to ensure seamless support for clients and internal trading desks across extended trading hours.

About the Role

We are seeking a Trade & Operations Support Associate to join a growing operations team in Jersey City. This is a highly visible, client-facing position that sits at the intersection of trading, operations, and customer support.

You'll be responsible for monitoring trading activity and systems, troubleshooting operational issues in real time, and serving as a key point of contact for institutional clients and internal trading teams. Following an initial onboarding and training period on standard business hours, you'll transition into a permanent extended-hours coverage schedule and play an important role in helping build out this growing function.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor trading systems and trade activity throughout the trading day
  • Provide real-time support to institutional clients and internal trading desks
  • Investigate and resolve operational and trade-related issues efficiently
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for client inquiries and escalations
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate issue resolution with relevant internal teams
  • Ensure smooth execution and processing of trading activity
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders during operational events
  • Contribute to the development and expansion of the firm's trading operations support function
  • Support operational processes across extended trading hours

Requirements

  • 1โ€“5 years of experience in trading operations, trade support, market operations, or a related field
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume trading or financial services environment
  • Ability to remain calm and effective when managing time-sensitive issues
  • SIE, Series 7, or Series 57 license (active or willingness to obtain)
