Job Summary:
IsoTech Staffing is seeking a Trading Application Support Analyst for a Hedge Fund client. The role involves providing first-call support for trading teams, managing trade processing issues, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure smooth operation of trading applications.
Responsibilities:
• *Level 1 support -* First call for all US based trading groups. Attempt to solve as many issues as possible, escalate issues in a timely manner to appropriate subject matter experts or level 3 Production Support Engineers (internally or at vendors) when appropriate. Manage communications to the trading staff and internal stakeholders regarding issue/resolution.
• Trading Infrastructure/Platform Status Communications – responsible for disseminating messages to the appropriate trading staff regarding trading infrastructure/platform issues, exchange updates, etc.
• Supporting and monitoring of the firm's internal systems using an Eyes-on-Glass monitoring model
• Facilitate incident & outage management
• Collaborate with other technical support engineers who may need assistance working on an issue; leverage their area of expertise to efficiently provide solutions for the customer.
• Document and create new knowledge base to provide easy reference for effective solutions to trading issues
• *Level 2 support* – assist with change management and automating processes to achieve efficiency and streamlined trade support
• Liaise with dev and BA teams, prioritize tool enhancements, and coordinate and participate in software/new version releases
• *Platform Installs/Updates* – coordinate with the Production Support Engineers, vendors, internal application owners and tech support to ensure trading platforms are correctly installed, configured, and tested
• *New User Setup-* responsible for the setup of new user ids, configuring accounts, product permissions, coordinate with execution brokers for risk trading limits, coordinate test trades
• *User Trainings-* for internal trading applications and coordinate training with vendors for external applications
• *User Migrations-* ensure all configurations are correct for traders moving from one platform to another, or changing clearing locations
• *User Deprovisioning / Access Maintenance* – Perform regular reviews/audits of user ids, access, and permissioning to ensure only necessary ids and technology are deployed for trading
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience in a Trade Support / Business Analyst role with similar responsibilities as part of a trade support team at a top Investment Bank, Hedge Fund or other leading Financial Services institution
• Experience in supporting trading in as many of the following products as possible: Equities, Commodities, Futures, Bonds, FX (Preferably someone stronger on the Equities/Commodities side)
• Familiarity with middle and back-office systems, risk management tools, and with Bloomberg or Reuters market data services is a strong plus
• Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment; Good sense of urgency – problem management and escalation
• Strong technical problem-solving skills with a good understanding of Unix / Windows environments and intermediate SQL skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented, Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
• Quick learner with a demonstrated strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them
