Job description

We are seeking a Trading Application Support professional to join our IT team. This role is responsible for operational support, change management, and release coordination for algorithmic trading systems, ownership that has transitioned from the trading desk into IT. The role will serve as a primary liaison between front-office algo, trading and technology teams, ensuring stable and controlled production operations while meeting internal governance standards and regulatory expectations. This role requires working knowledge of market data systems, infrastructure, networking, servers, and operating systems, as well as experience in supporting trading systems and working closely with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will operate in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, balancing multiple priorities and responding quickly to dynamic business and trading needs.

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

       Manage Trading and Algo change management and release management processes, including code deployment and version control.

       Act as first point of contact for trading system issues, performing initial triage, resolution where possible, and escalation to appropriate teams.

       Support and maintain front-office algorithmic trading infrastructure, including servers, networking hardware, and storage systems.

       Coordinate troubleshooting with Service Delivery and Infra teams on issues impacting trading systems and provide timely resolution.

       Monitor market data systems, distribution architectures, and feeds for stability, latency, and accuracy.

       Coordinate technical projects, system upgrades, and implementations with internal teams and external vendors.

       Communicate effectively with trading desks, vendors, and technical teams to coordinate deployments, upgrades, and system changes.

       Follow the procedures to ensure deployments comply with internal IT standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.

       Maintain detailed documentation, track incidents, and follow up to ensure timely resolution of incidents.

Additional Role Expectations

       Participate in on-call rotation and provide support outside-standard business hours, including weekends.

       Proactively contribute to system improvements, process automation, and operational stability.

       Operate within the support model, focusing on operational responsibilities with clear escalation paths.

       Show responsiveness, adherence to processes, and effective coordination with senior engineers and stakeholders.

The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, Medical/Dental/Vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.  Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.

Basic Qualifications

       Demonstrated support experience in technical service delivery within electronic trading.

       Knowledge of market data systems, infrastructure, and distribution architectures.

       Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and resolve technical issues.

       Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment.

       Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

       Attention to detail in system monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation.

       Experience working with external vendors, including coordination and service oversight.

       Experience supporting or participating in technical projects or system implementations.

       Client-focused approach, with experience supporting trading desks or front-office users preferred.

       Knowledge of ability to navigate Linux and Windows operating systems.

       Shows an understanding of networking (WAN/LAN), and security concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

       SQL database knowledge and hands-on experience.

       Experience in high-frequency or algorithmic trading environments.

       Familiarity with cloud-based deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code tools.

       Understanding of market data feeds (e.g., Exegy FPGA and RoCE-based technologies, Bloomberg BPIPE).
