The Role
Do you want to make a difference in our customers' lives and be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional team committed to improving the value of our products within Fidelity Capital Markets? We are looking for a quantitative expert to lead our research in our systematic trading and analytics platforms, coach our quant team to deliver relevant solutions, and help our clients to navigate the market! Responsibilities include conducting advanced quantitative research, developing models for our systematic trading and analytics platform, building and maintaining trading infrastructure for equity and fixed income markets, and creating custom complex trading algorithms for clients
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • 10+ years of industry experience in systematic trading, predictive model development, algo optimization and transaction cost analysis

  • Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or other relevant quantitative discipline strongly preferred

  • Lead a diverse team of quantitative experts to create systematic trading solutions in collaboration with product and tech

  • Generate ideas and architect platform to integrate intelligence, optimize actions, enhance customization, and democratize workflow

  • Assess performance of retail execution, trading algorithms, and implement solutions to lower trading cost

  • Work closely with order flow management, electronic trading consultants, and desk strategists to engage clients

  • Hands on in conducting analysis and developing model for production

  • Experienced knowledge in Python and KDB/Q, and fluency in artificial intelligence and cloud architecture

  • Series 7, 24, 57 and 63

The Team
Our Systematic Trading and Analytics Platform team develops trading capabilities and provides quantitative expertise to the design of next-generation brokerage products in the equity and fixed income market. We build trading infrastructure and create trading algorithms to help clients achieve the best execution. We work with clients to improve their trading strategy, educate them about market structure and trading tools, and provide consultation to help them take on their unique problems.
Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
The base salary range for this position is $100,000-185,000 USD per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
