Mission Focus: The Operations Manager serves as the primary operational and technical point of contact within a diverse team of technologists delivering software development services to our mission-critical government clients. This position assists in the execution of client deliverables and contractual obligations. The Operations Manager represents the technical delivery team throughout the full lifecycle of designing, developing, deploying, securing, and integrating capabilities into critical workflows

 

 Clearance: TS/SCI

 Location/Flexibility: Vienna, VA OR Chantilly, VA with remote flexibility based on customer needs.

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Technical Operations
    • Facilitate technical meetings to guide overall progress and support technical evaluation decisions for clients
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and performance trade-offs in collaboration with engineering and program management teams.
    • Provide technical input to quality assurance, safety, cybersecurity, and reliability reviews.
  • Programmatic:
    • Support the development and maintenance of technical milestones, dependencies, and contractual deliverables.
    • Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and system metrics to track progress toward customer requirements and operational readiness.
    • Provide technical content and validation for monthly status reports, program deliverables, and risk management documentation.
    • Adhere to program scope, budget, and schedule while maintaining contract compliance.
    • Ensure risk mitigation actions and corrective measures are implemented and documented effectively.
  • People Engagement
    • Mentor staff and guide career development
    • Conduct technical peer reviews and design walkthroughs to ensure high-quality engineering deliverables.
    • Support a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning, encouraging experimentation and knowledge sharing within the team. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience working in ambiguous environments and driving initiatives from ideation to execution
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Working knowledge and practical application of project management concepts and principles
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, with prior experience collaborating with senior management to find solutions for customers

  • Must be able tolift 10-15 pounds at times
