About our Team:

Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions (FTIS)manages approximately $140B in assets and serves as the firm's multi-asset solutions platform. As a key access point to Franklin Templeton's global investment capabilities, FTIS brings together insights from across the organization to develop customized investment solutions and diversified portfolios. The team combines strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager research, and risk management expertise to deliver outcome-oriented investment strategies for clients globally.

About the Role:

TheInvestment Analystwill be a key member of the multi-asset solutions team, supporting the day-to-day management of a broad range of retail and institutional multi-asset portfolios. The role is centered on portfolio implementation, trading, cash management, portfolio analytics, and the development of analytical tools and process enhancements that support portfolio management and investment decision-making. The successful candidate will also contribute to investment discussions, manager oversight, and select product initiatives.

Working closely with experienced Portfolio Managers, the successful candidate will play an integral role in implementing investment decisions, enhancing the team's investment processes, and supporting the ongoing management of diversified multi-asset portfolios. The role provides broad exposure to the multi-asset investment process and opportunities to assume increasing investment responsibilities over time.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in multi-asset portfolio management. Initially, the successful candidate will build expertise in portfolio implementation, trading, cash management, reconciliations, portfolio analytics, and process improvement initiatives while developing a deep understanding of the team's investment philosophy, portfolio construction process, and underlying investment managers.

As experience develops, the role provides increasing opportunities to contribute to asset allocation discussions, portfolio construction, investment idea generation, and broader portfolio management responsibilities, with meaningful exposure to all aspects of managing diversified retail and institutional multi-asset portfolios.

How You Will Add Value

Portfolio Management & Implementation

  • Enter portfolio trades across mutual funds, ETFs, separately managed accounts, and other investment vehicles.

  • Manage daily portfolio cash flows, subscriptions, redemptions, rebalancing activity, and portfolio reconciliations to ensure accurate holdings, cash balances, and transactions.

  • Monitor portfolio positioning relative to strategic and tactical asset allocation targets.

  • Assist in implementing portfolio changes arising from investment decisions across multiple mandates.

  • Coordinate with Trading, Operations, Custody, Compliance, and Risk teams to support portfolio implementation.

Portfolio Analytics

  • Analyze portfolio positioning, exposures, and characteristics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across portfolios.

  • Produce and interpret portfolio analytics relating to performance and attribution, risk, and positioning.

  • Conduct peer universe and competitive analysis across multi-asset strategies.

  • Lead analytical projects and develop automation, reporting tools, and process enhancements to improve portfolio management efficiency and support investment decision-making.

Investment Process Support

  • Support Portfolio Managers in researching investment opportunities across asset classes.

  • Participate in investment meetings and contribute research, market observations, and investment ideas.

  • Develop an understanding of underlying investment managers, strategies, and portfolio characteristics.

  • Assist in preparing investment committee materials and portfolio review presentations.

Product Support & Client Services

  • Support product development initiatives and portfolio reviews as required.

  • Assist with competitive landscape analysis and product-related research.

  • Respond to portfolio-related requests from internal stakeholders, including Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Client Service teams.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role

Experience, Education & Certifications

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in asset management, portfolio management, investment operations, or multi-asset investing.

  • Experience supporting institutional and/or retail investment portfolios preferred.

  • Order management and reconciliation experience preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.

  • CFA designation or progress toward the CFA charter is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Python and/or SQL for data analysis, automation, or investment applications is required. Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is preferred.

  • Experience with investment platforms and market data systems such as:

  • Bloomberg

  • FactSet

  • Morningstar Direct

  • Charles River (or similar OMS)

  • Aladdin

Compensation Range: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards-monetary and non-monetary-designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results. We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $75,000-$100,000, depending on location and level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
