2026 Summer Internship, FP&A – Finance
Denver, CO

Founded in 2008, YES Communities is a privately held Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) specializing in manufactured housing.

We are seeking enthusiastic and driven interns to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team for Summer 2026. As an FP&A intern, you will play a key role in supporting critical finance initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Over the course of the internship, you will collaborate with our team to gain exposure to our award-winning operating platform and develop a comprehensive understanding of key functions, including planning and budgeting, system implementations, acquisitions, and investor relations.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze financial and operational performance utilizing Incorta (Data Analytics tool) and Workday Adaptive Planning (financial planning and reporting).
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and enhance financial models and reports across various business areas, including capital planning and inventory management.
  • Assist in preparing investor materials and presentations.
  • Conduct benchmarking and peer analysis of publicly traded REITs, including reviewing financial statements, market trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Document business processes, procedures, and key financial metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to optimize dashboards and improve data integrity across financial systems.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and company-wide initiatives, as well as ad hoc analyses.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Preference for candidates graduating by Spring 2026.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a minimum of 10 weeks in our Denver office.
  • Availability to start by June 2026.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights.
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated passion for learning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with financial modeling, data visualization, or reporting systems is a plus.

This internship opportunity may also serve as a pathway to a full-time position within YES Communities.
