As a Tax Associate, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing various tax compliance and consulting services:

  • Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S-corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations ranging from middle market to multinational companies

  • Participate in tax research projects on a variety of tax issues, help to draft IRS responses and address other tax authority inquiries

  • Team with leaders on special projects in various areas of corporate and flow through taxation such as accounting methods and ASC740

  • Develop recommendations for the client to consider and share with leadership to discuss and strategize

  • Communicate and team with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters in the state and local, high net worth, international, research and development along with credits and incentives areas

  • Learn and grow from direct on-the-job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs

Qualifications


Successful candidates willhave:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or law, or a related degree in business, with sufficient course work and credits to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state you are being considered

  • Outstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above

  • Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization

  • The abilityto work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel

  • Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving

  • Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability

  • Proficiencywith Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

The pay rate ranges for this position are listed below. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.

In Washington: pay rate range is $63,840 to $100,550

In California: pay rate range is $70,220 to $108,930

In Denver, CO: pay rate range is $70,220 to $92,170

In New York: pay rate range is $76,500 to $104,740

In Chicago, IL: pay rate range is $70,220 to $92,170

In Tewksbury, MA: pay rate range is $73,420 to $91,770

In Minneapolis, MN: pay rate range is $67,030 to $87,980
