Position Summary

The Trade Show Estimator is responsible for reviewing exhibit designs, preparing accurate project estimates, supporting fabrication feasibility reviews, and collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure project profitability, quality, and timely delivery. This position plays a key role in evaluating materials, labor, and production costs while ensuring client objectives, budget requirements, and show regulations are met.

  • Review exhibit designs to ensure budgets, show regulation compliance, and client objectives are met.
  • Review designs prior to client submission to confirm fabrication feasibility, ballpark pricing, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed estimates, including labor, materials, and outsourced services for custom fabrication projects.
  • Review vendor pricing and sourcing options to help maintain targeted profit margins.
  • Coordinate with specialized outside fabricators and vendors as needed to support project requirements and deadlines.
  • Participate in production meetings, job launches, and staff meetings to ensure effective communication and project scheduling.
  • Assist in monitoring rental inventory and communicate with operations regarding potential rental inventory purchases.
  • Support accounting by assisting with project cost reconciliation and estimate reviews.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and requests.
  • Stay current on new product offerings, construction techniques, audiovisual technologies, and lighting solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with Sales, Design, Production, Operations, and Accounting teams.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of related estimating, fabrication, exhibit industry, or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of exhibit industry fabrication methods, materials, and product information.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in estimating and project support activities.
