Job Summary

The Vice President, Global Logistics & Trade is a transformational executive leader responsible for building and driving a world-class, digitally enabled logistics organization across all global markets. This role is the enterprise authority for end-to-end logistics operations - spanning transportation, warehousing, trade operations, and fulfillment - and is accountable for aligning logistics capability directly with the company's commercial growth agenda.

Reporting to the SVP of Global Operations, the VP will lead a distributed team of logistics directors and regional leaders, set the multi-year vision for the function, and serve as a senior partner to Sales, Commercial, Finance, and Operations leadership worldwide. This is a role for a bold, commercially minded executive who thrives in complexity, accelerates growth through logistics excellence, and knows how to harness technology to reshape how a global logistics organization performs.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Leadership & Strategy
  • Define and execute the global logistics vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing global logistics organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the senior logistics advisor to executive leadership.
Global Growth & Market Expansion
  • Design logistics capabilities that support growth across international markets.
  • Develop scalable transportation, fulfillment, and compliance solutions to support regional expansion.
  • Lead logistics due diligence and integration efforts for acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
  • Establish deployment frameworks and operating models for new market entry.
Commercial Partnership
  • Partner with Sales and business leaders to align logistics capabilities with customer and growth requirements.
  • Support customer proposals, contract negotiations, and service-level commitments.
  • Develop logistics solutions that strengthen customer satisfaction and competitive advantage.
Digital Transformation
  • Lead the global logistics technology strategy, including transportation, warehouse, visibility, and analytics platforms.
  • Establish performance metrics and reporting that enable data-driven decision making.
  • Partner with IT and Digital teams to drive technology adoption and process automation.
Trade Compliance & Risk Management
  • Provide executive sponsorship and oversight of the global trade operations function - ensuring full adherence to import/export regulations, sanctions, and customs requirements across all operating markets
  • Partner with the Acuity Global Trade Compliance team to establish a risk-based trade compliance governance model that balances speed-to-market with regulatory integrity and reputational protection
  • Ensure that operational processes are aligned with regulatory requirements, company policies, audit expectations, and business needs
  • Embed trade operations considerations into new market entry, product launches, and supplier qualification processes to prevent downstream risk
  • Ensure the organization maintains audit-ready documentation, controls, and training programs for all trade operations activities globally
Warehousing & Network Optimization
  • Lead global warehousing and fulfillment operations across internal and third-party networks.
  • Optimize distribution footprint, service levels, capacity utilization, and inventory flow.
  • Establish performance standards and governance for logistics providers and 3PL partners.
Financial & Operational Excellence
  • Own logistics budgets, performance goals, and productivity initiatives.
  • Drive cost transparency, strategic sourcing, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead carrier and logistics partner negotiations to improve cost, service, and scalability.
  • Implement continuous improvement programs that enhance financial and operational performance.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in global logistics, supply chain, or operations, with a clear track record of executive leadership
  • 7+ years leading large, complex, multi-disciplinary logistics organizations across multiple geographies and functions
  • Demonstrated success driving international growth - including new market entry, cross-border logistics infrastructure, and regional network build-out
  • Deep functional expertise across transportation, warehousing, trade compliance, and 3PL management at a global scale
  • Proven ability to digitally transform a logistics function - including TMS/WMS implementation, visibility platforms, and data analytics capability
  • Strong commercial instincts with experience partnering directly with Sales, Commercial, and Customer leadership to align logistics with revenue growth
  • Track record of building high-performing, diverse teams and developing strong director- and senior manager-level talent pipelines
  • Demonstrated experience managing significant logistics budgets and delivering year-over-year cost efficiencies without compromising service
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in a high-growth, publicly traded, or private equity-backed global company
  • Exposure to managing logistics in highly regulated industries or complex international trade environments (e.g., aerospace, industrial, life sciences, consumer goods)
  • Experience leading logistics M&A integration or standing up greenfield logistics operations in new markets

The range for this position is $183,200.00  to $366,000.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant's experience and geographic location.
