Job description

Here at Apex Pros we are seeking a dependable and motivated Plumbing Install Helper to join our growing team. This position works alongside experienced plumbers and installers to assist with residential plumbing installations, replacements, repairs, and related projects.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, willing to learn, comfortable working with hand and power tools, and takes pride in doing quality work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the plumbing trade.

Responsibilities
  • Assist plumbers and lead installers with residential plumbing installations and replacements
  • Load, unload, organize, and maintain plumbing materials, tools, and equipment
  • Assist with installation of water heaters, fixtures, piping, drains, sewer lines, and other plumbing systems
  • Prepare work areas and ensure job sites remain clean, organized, and safe
  • Measure, cut, and prepare materials under the direction of an experienced plumber
  • Use basic hand and power tools safely and properly
  • Assist with demolition, excavation, material handling, and job-site preparation as needed
  • Follow instructions from lead plumbers and installers
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition
  • Follow all company safety policies and applicable plumbing codes
  • Provide professional and respectful service while working in customers' homes
  • Communicate effectively with the lead plumber and other team members
  • Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Previous plumbing, construction, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or skilled-trade experience is preferred but not required
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the plumbing trade
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Good communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
