Job description

The Bloomberg AIM Technology Analyst acts as the primary technology subject matter expert for Allspringโ€™s Bloomberg AIM and related investment platform infrastructure. This position plays a central role ensuring the stability, scalability, and effectiveness of Allspringโ€™s Bloomberg ecosystem and adjacent data platforms supporting portfolio management, trading, compliance, operations and technology. The role combines:

  • Day-to-day investment platform technical support and workflow optimization
  • Direct vendor engagement (Bloomberg and related providers)
  • Cross-functional partnerships across Trading, Portfolio Management, Compliance, Operations, and Technology

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 4 days per week.  

Location(s): Milwaukee, WI


  • Serve as a primary SME and operational owner for Bloomberg AIM supporting users and workflows across trading, portfolio management, research, portfolio compliance, operations and technology
  • Perform day-to-day AIM production tasks and quickly resolve support issues that arise
  • Support Bloomberg inbound/outbound data feeds across platforms such as AIM, PORT, and Bloomberg Data License, ensuring data quality, stability, and timely delivery of data
  • Partner with investment teams to analyze workflows and optimize platform usage across asset classes
  • User and account onboarding and entitlements
  • Workflow configuration and enhancements
  • Platform upgrades and testing
  • Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, support procedures, and training materials
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of data pipelines inside Allspringโ€™s Bloomberg ecosystem
  • Beyond the Bloomberg ecosystem, work across modern data environments including Snowflake, AWS, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server
  • Develop reporting and analytics using tools such as Jira and Power BI for KPI tracking and decision support
  • Lead or support technology initiatives that impact Allspringโ€™s Bloomberg ecosystem
  • Translate business requirements into technical design documentation and solution architecture
  • Build and execute UAT test plans and construct validation scenarios for new workflows

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrable technical and administrative experience supporting Bloomberg systems within an investment management environment, with handson knowledge of Bloombergโ€™s AIM and PORT ecosystems
  • Deep understanding of front and middle office investment workflows (order management, trade execution, post-trade, portfolio optimization, portfolio attribution & analytics, reconciliation, messaging)
  • Proven ability to focus and resolve production issues quickly as well as manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Technical expertise using SQL to interface with data platforms
  • Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time
  • Operate computer programs and software
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats
  • Day-to-day contact with others (co-workers and/or public)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions.

Base Pay Range: $110,000 - $150,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
