The Opportunity

This position works out of our Mississauga location. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. As the Trade Marketing Manager, you'll have the chance to play a critical role in driving profitable retail sales growth by aligning trade investment, promotional strategy, and instore execution to strengthen retailer partnerships and brand performance. This role leads the development and execution of trade marketing strategies across Canada, ensuring full alignment with brand strategy by clearly defining and activating what differentiates Abbott Nutrition brands across key segments, including AdultNutrition, Infant Formula, and Pediatric. The Trade Marketing Manageris responsible fordelivering a consistent and compelling brand presence nationwide while building strong, collaborative relationships with key retail customers. This role translates shopper and segmentation insights into effective trade marketing programs-including promotions, loyalty initiatives, and pointofpurchase materials-that address local market needs and deliver customized value propositions. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Category teams, the role ensures trade strategies are effectively translated into actionable tactics and optimized resource allocation to drive sustainable growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute annual trade marketing strategies aligned with sales objectives, brand priorities, and category growth goals.

  • Lead integrated customer promotion planning with Sales, Marketing, and Category teams, including forecasting demand lift and evaluating ROI, revenue, margin, and sales performance.

  • Build and optimize trade marketing programs across channels and customer segments, leveraging consumer, shopper, and customer insights to improve engagement and conversion.

  • Manage trade marketing investments and operating budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation, ROI optimization, and profitable growth.

  • Drive omnichannel execution, including in-store merchandising, eCommerce strategy, digital shelf optimization, and retail media initiatives to increase market share and visibility.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, channel performance, and promotional effectiveness to inform data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Support commercial planning and regional growth initiatives through training, demand generation, S&OP contributions, and close cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Commercial teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field (master's degree or MBA is a strong asset).

  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in a related position.

  • Proven trade marketer/ category shopper insight experience.

  • Proven digital marketing experience.

  • Excellent cross-functional working experience.

  • Strong evidence of project management competency and proven track record of delivering on time and within budget.

  • Experience ofCPGindustry or appropriate marketing/business sector is preferred.

  • Customer specific tools (WM Retail Link/Scintilla LCL LDIA/Core Plus/CrossTabs, Sobeys/CircanaLiquid, Metro Dunnhumby).

  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel, Power Point, OneNote, Teams.

  • French bilingual will be considered an asset.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $99,750.00 to $146,300.00 CAD. The salary range provided applies to Canada only and does not apply to any other locations outside of Canada.
