Eckard Roofing is hiring a Roofing Apprentice & Skilled Laborer to join our team in Truckee. We are looking for someone with a couple of years of general construction experience who is tired of dead-end jobs and wants to become a professional Roofer.

This isn't just carrying shingles; this is a career path. If you are reliable, comfortable with heights, and ready to work hard, we will teach you the rest. We train you on installation, waterproofing, and safety so you can quickly move up to Journeyman status (and higher pay). Ride with us from Reno/Sparks, get paid every Friday, and start building a real future.

    What You Will Be Doing

    You will be the backbone of the crew, hustling to keep the job site running efficiently while learning the roofing trade hands-on:

    • The Hustle: Load and unload heavy materials safely. This is a highly physical jobyou need to be ready to work hard and stay active.

    • Site Support: Keep the crew running efficiently by expertly staging materials, setting up ladders, and managing tools.

    • The Learning: Work directly alongside our experienced Journeymen, assisting with the installation of asphalt, metal, and single-ply roofing systems.

    • Safety First: Maintain a clean, organized job site and strictly follow all OSHA guidelines (we take safety incredibly seriously).


    What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
    • Experience: 2+ years of general construction experience. You must know how to properly use a tape measure, swing a hammer, and safely navigate a busy construction site.

    • No Fear of Heights: You must be completely comfortable working on steep/flat roofs and climbing tall ladders.

    • Reliability: A strong, dependable work ethic. You show up on time, every single day, ready to hustle.

    • Licensure: A valid Drivers License is absolutely required.
