Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

This role will provide analysis, project support, and data set up for fuel supply and act as a key point of contact for central teams for related to fuel supply and optimization activities. Position plays a key role in identifying and addressing operational issues as well as supporting fuel optimization activity. Engagement with fuel suppliers' support teams and Global Fuels team are critical components of the role which provides a great commercial developmental opportunity for the right candidate to grow within the Global Fuels organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities, and requirements:

  • Responsible for reporting, analyzing, and resolving issues related to fuel optimization & trading activity within the US
  • Works with supply coordinators daily to ensure a timely and accurate input of day deals in a manner that can be easily tracked, as well as updating the progress of those agreements and reporting back to the coordinator.
  • Supports supply and sourcing activities through accurate setup of supply agreements and sites in related programs
  • Proactively identifies supply agreement setup issues and validate accurate data entry of loading numbers, indexes, products, carriers, etc.
  • Reviews and evaluates fuel contract compliance per designation of RFP award
  • Prepares daily delivery and cost reporting to support supply execution functions and performance
  • Contributes to special ad hoc projects as needed within Global Fuels team
  • Coordinates with multiple stakeholders across Optimization, Sourcing, Supply Coordinators and Global Fuels team
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing determined Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company Plan guidelines
  • Ensures excellent service is provided to internal and external stakeholders
  • Understands and can work with different scheduling sheets as well and implement updates and changes regarding those sheets
  • Updates and maintains the ETRM system daily, ensuring accuracy in liftings, derivatives, batch delivery, inventory metrics, and pricing mechanisms
  • Tracks the overall position of the traders in relation to their daily hedging, as well as investigating its validity
  • Continues the effort of building out the ETRM system to add further utility to the trading and hedging team
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • On-call every other weekend to resolve system set-up issues
  • 1-3 years of petroleum supply and marketing experience, including practical knowledge of various index based pricing mechanisms
  • Ability to analyze and combine multiple data sets to provide insights
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and networking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred
