Chevron is accepting online applications for the position NGL Trader through 05/27/2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time Zone
Chevron is seeking an experienced NGL Trader to lead and grow a U.S. Gulf Coast NGL trading portfolio. The role is accountable for executing physical and derivative trades, optimizing and trading equity and third-party volumes, managing risk, and expanding the commercial footprint. This role works across multiple global trading teams to drive earnings and scale Chevron's global trading platform.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow profitable commercial trading opportunities around a physical US NGL portfolio in the U.S. Gulf Coast region.
  • Market equity and 3rd party production, optimizing physical positions across multiple locations.
  • Identify, structure, and execute profitable trading strategies utilizing physical NGLs and derivative instruments, with a sharp focus on earnings generation and control of associated risk positions.
  • Perform market analysis to uncover trends and inform trading decisions across the global trading teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships, working closely with other traders, analysts and schedulers within Chevron, as well as with external trading partners and market participants.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated NGL trading experience with focus on Mont Belvieu hub trading
  • Strong knowledge of Y-grade and NGL purity products, including physical flows and infrastructure
  • Understanding of global NGL/LPG flows and associated arbitrage opportunities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • 8+ years of professional experience in a trading/marketing capacity
