Job description

Overall Job Summary
This position systematically slots new and existing items, and monitors reports and results via the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring the distribution center is properly slotting product. This position partners with various areas on upcoming events, supports various slotting or inventory control projects, and provides feedback for improvement opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
  • Utilize existing reports and tools from the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to systematically slot new and existing items within the distribution center.
  • Monitor reports and results from WMS, using general product/business knowledge and published slotting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), to ensure items are slotted in locations that drive operational excellence.
  • Partner with Store Support Center (SSC) Logistics and Inventory Management on upcoming events, ensuring products are available in the DC for the events.
  • Support the execution of various slotting or Inventory Control projects that drive improvements in safety, quality, service and cost.
  • Provide feedback to SSC, DC Operations and various business departments on:
    • Results, and improvement opportunities for processes, tools and reporting
    • Packaging changes, ordering errors and best shipping method, to improve overall operational effectiveness
  • Monitor an action plan to address and resolve team member/leadership slotting issues or concerns.

Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
Ability and proficiency in Microsoft Office and a tier one WMS System; Ability to self-motivate and work with little supervision; ability to handle conflicts, prioritize tasks, and possess strong communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
