Job description

Cranemasters is seeking hardworking, safety-focused individuals to join our team asRailroad Laborers. This role supports critical field operations including rerailing, track maintenance and repair, load adjustment/transfer, and railcar repair.

As part of a 24/7 emergency response team, you'll play a vital role in restoring and maintaining railroad operations safely and efficiently. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

Follow all safety policies, attend briefings, and wear required PPE

Perform manual labor (lifting, digging, carrying materials, cutting vegetation)

Load, move, and stage tools and materials for job sites

Assist with rigging, winch lines, and equipment setup

Operate hand, hydraulic, and (if qualified) cutting/welding tools

Clean and organize worksites, vehicles, and equipment

Restock supplies and support team operations as needed

Skills/Qualifications

1+ year of manual labor experience (construction, farming, utilities, or similar)

Valid driver's license with good record

Strong teamwork, reliability, and willingness to learn

Commitment to safety standards

Ability to pass required training (including E-Rail Safe)

24/7 availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Work on uneven terrain in all weather conditions

Stand, walk, bend, and work extended hours as needed
