Overview

**This position is contingent upon Contract Award**

Job specifications are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed by employees. Specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.

SUMMARY:  

The Laborer will work directly with the Government personnel in meeting the labor-intensive needs of the project. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

   Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances.    Moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand trucks.    Stacks materials for storage or binning.    Collects refuse and salvageable materials.    Digs, fills and tamps earth excavations and level ground using pick, shovel, tamper and rake.    Shovels concrete and snow.    Cleans culverts and ditches.    Cuts tree and brush.    Operates power lawnmowers.    Operates basic hand tools and small equipment like shovels, sledgehammers, and pressure washers.    Moves and arranges heavy pieces of office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances.    Moves heavy pieces of automotive, medical engineering, and other types of machinery and equipment.    Spreads sand and salt on icy roads and walkways.    Picks up leaves and trash.    In coordination with Test and Lab leadership and under supervision, cleans up range and laboratories following test execution.    Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:

   High school diploma or equivalent, with some vocational or technical training is desired.    Demonstrated physical stamina and strength to perform demanding manual labor tasks.    Ability to follow instructions accurately and work safely in a dynamic T&E environment.    Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment commonly used in maintenance and material handling.    Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and safe T&E work environment.    Strong commitment to safety procedures and regulations within a T&E range setting.    Prior experience in a similar labor-intensive role within a military or government environment preferred.    Familiarity with safety procedures and equipment used on a T&E range preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

May require lifting up to 25 pounds. 

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS: As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
