Job Title: Technical Product Owner (Agile)

Overview / Summary
The Technical Product Owner 2 is responsible for owning the delivery of complex IT products and solutions from concept to deployment. This role partners with technical teams to translate high-level business requirements into detailed technical specifications aligned with strategic goals, while enhancing product delivery, improving team efficiency, and supporting the product vision and roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the product backlog, including grooming and prioritization aligned with business objectives
  • Write clear, detailed user stories and epics incorporating technical requirements and constraints
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate understanding, estimation, and task breakdown
  • Serve as a key liaison between business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment of requirements
  • Partner with architects, developers, and DevOps engineers on solution design, feasibility, and scalability
  • Provide technical input during architecture and solution discussions
  • Contribute to product vision, strategy, and roadmap development
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform product decisions
  • Drive continuous product improvement using metrics, user feedback, and technology trends
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews
  • Promote Agile best practices and continuous process improvement
  • Manage sprint goals, timelines, and delivery priorities
  • Translate complex technical and system requirements into actionable features
  • Document workflows, data models, APIs, and integrations
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and technical decision-making
  • Define and enforce acceptance criteria to ensure quality deliverables
  • Collaborate with QA on test plans, acceptance testing, and product readiness
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions
  • Coordinate product releases with DevOps, release management, and support teams
  • Monitor post-launch product performance and implement improvements
  • Provide post-release support for technical issues and feedback
  • Support applications across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure stability, security, and performance
  • Support cloud migration strategies and application transitions
  • Ensure governance and performance monitoring across environments
  • Act as liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and security standards (SOX, PCI-DSS)
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on risk mitigation and application security
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or related technical role in an IT environment
  • Experience working with Agile development teams and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
  • Experience leading technical discussions and collaborating with developers, architects, and DevOps engineers
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, cloud technologies, databases, and software development practices
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Understanding of data management principles, integrations, and APIs
  • Knowledge of automation tools, monitoring, and logging platforms

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe
  • Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native applications
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, or containerization technologies
