Job description

Job Title: Academy Performance Analyst Intern
Department: Academy Performance Analysis
Reports to: Academy Performance Analyst
Position Summary:
In this internship, you will be working within the Academy Analysis Department. You can expect to learn and gain valuable experience in how performance analysis is utilized at the elite level. This internship is set to begin on or about February and conclude in December. The candidate for this role must be able to work up to 28 hours per week. The working week schedule is dictated by the 1st team fixtures this will include evening, weekend, and holidays.
What You'll Do:
  • Capture academy training sessions and code both live and post training
  • Use the data captured in training to provide feedback to coaches and players
  • Capture academy fixtures both home and away when required - utilizing both live and post-match
  • Label academy fixtures generating KPI's on both individual and team level
  • In line with the coaching syllabus to create educational video's using both 1st team and other leagues to demonstrate best practice
  • Create post-match analysis video to be utilized with both players and coaches
  • Work with the Club's data analyst to create benchmarking for academy players
  • Any ad-hoc tasks as requested by Head of Performance Analysis and Director of Player Development
