After training, independently perform photovoltaic cell and module characterization and reliability testing, generating the data that drives TPV R&D, reliability, and manufacturing operations.
Roles & Responsibilities- After training, independently perform TPV cell characterization using photoluminescence (PL), external quantum efficiency (EQE), Fourier transform infrared reflectance (FTIR), current-voltage (IV), and other cell and test-article measurements.
- After training, independently perform TPV module characterization using PL, electroluminescence (EL), lock-in thermography (LIT), IV, and Thermal Tester measurements.
- Execute measurement system monitoring, update run charts, and flag if measurement systems fall out of control.
- Execute reliability tests - stress testing, thermal cycling, and long-duration performance monitoring - and support failure analysis efforts.
- Learn the basics of how the measurement systems and software operate and the meaning and implications for the data they collect on TPV development and manufacturing.
- Perform data cleaning, exploration, and visualization; identify and report inconsistencies, oddities, or non-physical results.
