What You'll Be Doing

  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of accounting and reconciliation for vehicle and parts inventories, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
  • Develop, lead, and implement process improvement activities to create efficiencies in accounting and reporting processes. Explore and analyze potential alternative solutions (such as software or processes) to address manual or time-consuming tasks.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of assigned General Ledger accounts, preparing and uploading comprehensive reporting packages into Blackline with precision and timeliness.
  • Analyze and reconcile intercompany transactions, including purchases and billing, and manage reclassifications to ensure compliance and accuracy. Approve miscellaneous invoices as needed.
  • Prepare and file monthly excise, SUT, tire, and oil tax returns via the SURI portal, guaranteeing adherence to all local tax regulations and deadlines.
  • Ensure proper billing and collection of vehicle, parts, and accessory sales, enforce credit policies, and drive timely collections to optimize cash flow.
  • Reconcile dealer incentive payments against program guidelines, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions to maintain program integrity.
  • Audit weekly supplier disbursements for accuracy and compliance, and execute monthly bank reconciliations to safeguard financial controls.
  • Lead and deliver special finance projects, including requirements gathering, budgeting, and implementation planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Perform advanced research and analysis across key accounts, support SOX and financial audits by ensuring financials are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and contain appropriate levels of financial and business controls.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management, which include special projects.

What You Bring

  • BS/BA in accounting, with experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with SAP, Blackline, and other ERP systems
  • Strong Analytical skills with attention to detail and completeness
  • Motivated and dependable self-starter
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, Spanish and English
  • Solid time management skills, ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and function independently in a fast-paced environment

    • Fluency in both English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in each language.
    • Work Location: Puerto Rico Metro Area; primarily office-based work, some traveling may be necessary
