CNC Mill Machinist / Setup Operator

 

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Day Shift 7:00 am - 4:30 pm

9/80 Work Schedule – Enjoy every other Friday off while still working 80 hours in a two-week pay period.

We're looking for an experienced CNC Mill Machinist / Setup Operator who takes pride in producing quality parts and enjoys working in a professional manufacturing environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Haas, Toyoda, and Doosan CNC milling machines according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Gather and install cutting tools, fixtures, and materials required for production.
  • Machine first article parts and verify conformance to print before submitting them for inspection.
  • Inspect in-process and finished parts using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Change worn or broken tooling and adjust tool offsets as needed to maintain part quality.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic machining or production issues.
  • Work with the department supervisor to resolve machining, tooling, and production-related concerns.
  • Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards in our ISO 9001-certified facility.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of CNC milling experience (operator experience required; setup experience preferred).
  • Experience with Haas, Toyoda, or Doosan CNC mills is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and a solid understanding of CNC machining principles.
  • Experience making tool offsets and performing basic machine adjustments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
