Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

Join a collaborative MEP consulting team delivering innovative K-12, municipal, commercial, government, and mission-critical projects. This is an opportunity to lead HVAC design, mentor engineers, and manage projects from concept through construction while working on complex, high-impact facilities.

What You'll Do
  • Lead HVAC and mechanical system design, including calculations, equipment selection, and construction documents.
  • Manage projects from planning through construction administration, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule goals are met.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
  • Oversee bidding support, RFIs, submittals, commissioning activities, and field coordination.
  • Mentor junior engineers, perform quality reviews, and provide technical leadership across projects.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of HVAC design experience in an MEP consulting environment.
  • PE license (or ability to obtain Virginia licensure immediately).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience with K-12, commercial, municipal, government, healthcare, or data center projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
