Job description

Earth at Hidden Pond is seeking a full-time seasonal host/hostess!
One of the best restaurants in Kennebunkport is a feast for all of your senses. From the tucked-away setting that feels like you're leaving the world behind to the elegant décor that brings the outdoors in, Earth offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience.
Job Description/Summary:
This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, strong planning and problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay organized and multi-task in a very busy setting. Major responsibilities include ensuring guests are greeted immediately and guest needs are responded to quickly, properly booking the restaurant to maximize the number of guests received, and maintaining a consistent flow of guests' orders to the kitchen while ensuring guests are satisfied.
  • Responsible for answering incoming telephone calls and reservation email correspondence; greeting/directing hotel guests/staff and/or the general public
  • Must be able to fulfill the following requirements: work under pressure, ability to multi-task, ability handle paperwork
  • Monitors and maintains acceptable guest turn times
  • Engaging in clear, consistent communications with leadership and restaurant staff on a frequent basis
  • Must know how to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashion

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor
  • Must be able to be on feet for the entire length of shift
