Job description

Position Summary
The Assitant Director of Baseball Operations is responsible for leading all aspects of tournament operations, facility management, and event execution to ensure a premier experience for athletes, coaches, spectators, and partner organizations. This role oversees game-day logistics, staff management, tournament administration, and operational planning while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and customer service.
Primary Responsibilities
Event and Tournament Operations
  • Direct the planning, coordination, and execution of baseball tournaments and special events, ensuring seamless operations from preparation through completion.
  • Oversee all tournament logistics, including schedule creation, game management, and facility readiness.
  • Serve as the lead coordinator for marquee events, including Spring Break tournaments and other large-scale competitions.
  • Manage TrackMan integration and other event technologies to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Collaborate with coaches, teams, officials, and facility personnel to deliver an exceptional event experience.

Facility and Game-Day Management
  • Manage daily operations at Ocee Park, ensuring all facilities, fields, and event spaces are prepared and maintained to organizational standards.
  • Coordinate scoreboard operations, livestream scheduling, and game-day technology, including camera setup and event broadcasting.
  • Supervise gate operations, including staffing, ticketing procedures, wristband inventory, and revenue tracking through Square.
  • Ensure operational readiness and promptly address any issues that arise during events.

Staff Leadership and Administration
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise event and operations staff.
  • Develop staffing schedules and assign personnel to support tournaments and facility operations.
  • Review and process employee timesheets while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on professionalism and customer service.

Team and Data Management
  • Manage team registration information, roster submissions, and tournament documentation.
  • Prepare roster packets and operational materials for tournament participants and staff.
  • Maintain inventory levels for baseballs, awards, and other event-related equipment and supplies.
  • Generate reports and track operational metrics to improve event efficiency and overall performance.
