Position Summary: 

The Tour Guide warmly welcomes guests and proactively offers them information on operations and answers questions. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Proactively greet guest, groups of guests, and schools within earshot with a warm welcome 

  • Communicate ticket prices accurately 

  • Follow the Find a Way to Their Heart service program with visitors, coworkers, and vendors 

  • Ensure group leaders are guided efficiently 

  • Document group and school group’s activities in numerical order on the check off sheet 

  • Command attention and take the lead with group leaders and teachers 

  • Explain and start exhibits as needed 

  • Ensure exhibits are clean and working 

  • Report to management in the instance an exhibit is having an issue 

  • Obtain and share accurate farm knowledge with guests and co-workers 

  • Complete daily operational checklist in area of responsibility 

  • Complete daily cleaning checklist in area of responsibility 

  • Solve problems as they occur 

  • Work in a fast-paced environment paying attention to each guest and remembering which attractions they experienced and which ones they have yet to experience 

  • Professionally, politely, and positively communicate to guests and co-workers 

  • Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities
