Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY
Follow process procedures and SOPs to perform cleaning on production Finished Good Totes and production equipment to ensure safety and hygiene conditions are met. Primarily clean finished goods totes and meet cleaning expectations while also helping production in cleaning equipment during changeovers to effectively remove allergens. Will assist in keeping work area clean and organize. Report any Safety concerns to management along with following all Safety and food safety requirements. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor/manager of progress and or other non-routine issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follows established procedures for the cleaning and sanitation of production equipment.
  • Assist in cleaning of room equipment.
  • Completes required reporting to reflect activity.
  • Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Keeping work area clean and organized.
  • Fast pace work environment - Keeping busy.
  • Operating Forklift and Floor Scrubber.
  • Follow safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE
  • Follow food safety practices and GMP

QUALIFICATIONS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Must be capable of being productive and working in a fast pace environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit, walk, stoop, lift, push/pull or crouch.

  • The employee may occasionally lift up to 45-50 Employee will regularly push, pull 70-80 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to communicate and take directions from the Sanitation Supervisor or QA Supervisor.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; at least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
