A&M Tool & Design is seeking a full-time Quality Manager to join our growing team in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who can oversee our Quality Management System while actively supporting inspection activities for aerospace, defense, medical, and commercial customers.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AS9100D, ISO 13485, blueprint reading, precision inspection, customer audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate must be able to work both independently and in a team environment, possess excellent attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, be a quick learner, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee in-process, final, and first article inspections.
  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T, customer drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepare and manage AS9102 First Article Inspection packages.
  • Maintain quality management systems in accordance with ISO 13485 and AS9100D requirements.
  • Formulate and maintain quality control objectives aligned with company goals.
  • Create and implement inspection criteria, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
  • Manage nonconforming material reports, corrective actions, and root cause investigations.
  • Coordinate objectives with production teams to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure quality of purchased materials and outsourced services.
  • Lead internal audits and support customer, supplier, and registrar audits.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding quality issues.
  • Maintain calibration and tool check systems for pins, gages, and shop floor inspection equipment.
  • Design and implement quality training programs for employees.
  • Apply continuous improvement and total quality management tools across departments.
  • Know and follow all A&M Tool & Design employee health and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of quality management and inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 13485, and related quality standards.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or precision machining environments preferred.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, comparators, and CMM preferred.
  • Experience with NCR, CAPA, root cause analysis, and supplier quality processes.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
