Job description

Overview
OSI Systems companies have a long history of developing innovative solutions to bring a better quality of life to the world. Our OSI Electronics (OSIE) division is a diversified manufacturer of electronic devices and value-added manufacturing services.
We provide our customers with the manufacturing capabilities and purchasing power of a global Electronics Manufacturing Services provider. By delivering regional and personalized support best provided by a smaller company, we strive to build lasting relationships and create close and valued partnerships with our customers. Our singular focus is to help security experts, clinical professionals and high-tech developers solve real-world problems and issues.
Altaflex, a division of OSI Electronics, is seeking a Dry Film Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining dry film lamination processes in the production of Flexible Printed Circuit Boards (FPCBs). This role ensures that photo-resist films are applied accurately to copper-clad laminates, supporting high-quality circuit patterning and overall product reliability. The shift hours will be 2pm to 10:30pm (PST).
Responsibilities
  • Operate lamination equipment to apply photoresist films onto FPCB substrates per work instructions, travelers, and process specifications (e.g, temperature, pressure, speed).
  • Work closely with production managers, dry film department leaders, and quality inspectors to prioritize work, review inspection results, and implement containment and corrective actions when defects or process excursions occur.
  • Inspect laminated panels for defects such as bubbles, wrinkles, or misalignment; segregate nonconforming material and document findings.
  • Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct.
  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Experience in PCB/FPCB manufacturing desired.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and travelers/routers required.
  • Ability to work in a controlled manufacturing environment and follow ESD, contamination-control, and safety requirements required.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and priorities work.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, reviewing travelers, and completing documentation required.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and verbally effectively communicate in the business language (English).
