Director, Distribution Supply Chain Order Fulfillment

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Director, Distribution Supply Chain Order Fulfillment to join the team in Hialeah, Fl.

Position Responsibilities:

  • This leader has responsibility for leading the BGS Distribution Supply Chain Order Fulfillment team for distribution related activities.The team is responsible for C&E distribution order fulfillment, order management and ensuring the Distribution Services supply chain value stream is executing and fulfilling customer commitments globally.

  • This is a geographically dispersed organization with personnel located in multiple sites, domestic and international. Position leads direct employees, both domestic and international across globe. The leader will be responsible for driving operational excellence, work across total distribution supply chain to deliver world class performance while supporting C&E growth.

  • The Boeing Global Services Distribution Services business relies on the organization under this position to lead and ensure the supply chain is optimized across all offerings and customer commitments are met. This leader is responsible for enabling Distribution Services Order Fulfillment team.

  • From a compliance perspective, the position is responsible for ensuring proper compliance to all applicable distribution policies and procedures.

  • This role includes significant operational interface with customers on order management & recoveries, as well as all the Supply Chain functional teams; Planning, Procurement, Distribution and Warehousing other functions, and customers to enable optimized supply chain value stream performance.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a senior leader or senior manager

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with general supply chain and/or program management

  • Minimum 3 years of experience collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders and suppliers

  • Experience in order fulfillment and production control

  • Experience speaking to senior executive leadership and customers

  • Experience in a high volume operations environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (or foreign equivalent)

  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

  • Demonstrated critical-business and financial acumen in order to influence and shape strategy

  • 10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain for a global organization

  • Experience establishing and tracking key performance indicators

  • Understanding of Lean, continuous/process improvement methodology

  • Experience leading culture and organizational transformation

  • Experience with program management, customer/supplier relationship, and performance recovery

  • A strong natural leadership style that moves people to act, motivates and inspires excellence and innovation

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets goals and strong skills in program execution

  • Proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply

  • Gains others' trust by demonstrating openness and honesty, behaving consistently, and acting in accordance with moral, ethical, professional, and organizational guidelines
