SUMMARY
The Doorperson ("Persona de la Puerta") welcomes our guests with a warm friendly smile and provides courteous, professional assistance to arriving and departing guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Conveys a favorable image of the organization by projecting a positive, professional appearance and demeanor to our guests.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with our guests throughout their visit by providing warm and attentive service.
  • Coordinates luggage assistance for our guests during their arrival and departure with the bell staff.
  • Contributes to the financial growth of the company by enthusiastically promoting the available amenities and facilities of our hotel.
  • Facilitates and expedites guest's requests while working with other departments to ensure standards of guest services are met or exceeded.
  • Ensures transportation is readily available for our guests.
  • Coordinates traffic flow through the Porte Cochère with the valet department.
  • Politely answers guest's questions and provides our guests with directions and information on the local area.
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for both our guests and colleagues by knowing and assisting in safety and emergency procedures.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training.
  • A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
  • Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
