DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on learning patient care skills and supporting daily routines in a hospital setting.

As a Aide Trainee, you will perform the following duties:

  • Patient Assistance: Support patients with daily living tasks and care routines
  • Therapeutic Communication: Use effective communication skills during patient interactions and crisis situations
  • Information Documentation: Record observations and patient information clearly and in a timely manner
  • Team Collaboration: Work with supervisors, nurses, and staff to complete assignments and adapt to changes
  • Safety Practices: Follow hospital policies, infection control methods, and proper equipment use
  • Patient Escorting: Accompany patients to appointments, activities, and visits both on and off grounds

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (2nd shift) with 30-minute lunch.
    • Work hours during training are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (1st shift) with 30-minute lunch.
  • Rotating schedule with every 3rd weekend off.
  • May change based on operational needs.
  • Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.
  • Overtime: As required
