Autocam—part of NN, Inc., a global industrial manufacturer with 23 sites and 3,200+ teammates—builds precision components for demanding applications. Our Kentwood, MI operation is hiring an apprentice to train in Swiss screw machining on Tornos equipment.

What You Will Learn
  • Basic components and operation of Tornos screw machines
  • Operational controls and routine maintenance
  • Bar stock preparation and restocking
  • Root-cause identification for quality defects
  • Tool changes and slide adjustments
  • Shaving, roller supports, and floating holders
  • Collet and pusher care; cutoff tool replacement
  • Pickoff and cutoff adjustments
Schedule
  • Training: Day shift for approximately 4–6 weeks
  • Ongoing: Night shift, 8:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. (50 hours/week)
  • Location: Kentwood, MI
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (technical/machining exposure is a plus)
