Job description

Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend and holiday required.

The Medical Surgical Care Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct nursing care to general medical and surgical patients, including those undergoing short-stay procedures, orthopedic care, and stroke management. The RN will also care for patients who are remotely monitored via telemetry.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
  • Conduct patient assessments and document vital signs.
  • Perform EKGs, Foley insertions, and point-of-care testing such as blood glucose monitoring.
  • Assist with rapid sequence intubation (RSI) when necessary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • 1-2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
