Job description

MISSION:"Seeking to put God's love into action, Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope."GENERAL DESCRIPTION:This position is responsible for providing customer service to all customers and donors in the ReStore by processing donation drop-offs. This position provides education and assistance to customers and donors throughout the store and works to ensure the intake of donated products is collected. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist donors in dropping off their donation, filling out paperwork, and thanking them.Process (test, clean, donations through the receiving area and ensure that all accepted donations meet PPHFH quality standards.Greet customers to ensure that they feel welcome and address any questions that they have.Stock and merchandise donated and purchased products with store displays and shelves for furniture, paint, light fixtures, etc.Ensure consistent and efficient store operations to provide an enjoyable customer experience.Assist customers through the entire purchase process, communicating customer needs with other staff members as necessary.Work and supervise daily volunteers on different projects and tasks in the store.Working with Floor Associates, Donation Ambassador Drivers, and Ambassador Assistants to replace and stock the floor with donated and purchased materials. Notify managers when needing customer support and store needs.Removing damaged or incomplete items and disposing of them correctly per managers' requests, cleaning displays as necessary, and arranging remaining items attractively and compactly in preparation for new product.Research and price merchandise on the sales floor and make sure all merchandise is priced. Cross-train with other positions to support when needed, including but not limited to operating the cash registers, processing payments without errors, and working on the sales floor.Collaborating and working with other teams, ensure that the store is clean and welcoming.Spread the mission of Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity.Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Knowledge of Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity's mission and vision.Have a clear understanding of the big picture of the ReStore and its part in the overall mission.Must be an active listener and able to engage customers in a friendly and helpful manner.High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.Customer service and sales experience preferred.Ability to lift 50 pounds. Job entails bending, lifting, kneeling, and reaching, often in awkward and tiring positions. Forklift certification will be recommended. Valid driver's license.HOURLY RATE: $15.90 - $17.50, depending on experience and budgetPHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:This position requires heavy lifting, processing donations using safety tools, standing, reaching, climbing stairs, and more. This is a manual labor retail position in a warehouse where temperatures fluctuate depending on the weather.The work location is 411 S.
