Job description

Leak Tester
In this job you will affix external components on the switch, perform vacuum and fill processes according to specifications, test for leaks and begin reclaim process if necessary.
As a Leak Tester you will:
  • Pick and assemble required parts according to drawings
  • Maintain leak test equipment
  • Set up vacuum and fill processes according to specifications
  • Leak Test fully pressurized Switchgear per instruction
  • Set up reclaim process as needed.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of testing tasks as needed
  • Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms
  • Communicate effectively with others at various levels of the organization.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Has a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development
  • Ideally has 0-1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Is able to safely use small hand and power tools
  • Has good organization skills and ability to multi-task a variety of simultaneous processes
  • Is able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material (preferred)
  • Has basic computer skills
  • Is able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English

The physical demands of the job are:
  • Work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles
  • Frequencies - Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Continuous (67-100%)

    • Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis floor to waist with assistance
    • Lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis floor to waist
