Description

ย Main Function and Responsible Area / Goal of the task:ย 

Provide technology driven solutions to demanding customer applications.ย 

Coordinate and divulge all technical input, updates, aspects and solutions with Mikron, Division Tool technical headquarters in Europe
ย 

To achieve targets / strategic objectives
  • Understand customer requirements of application, including machining technology, machine limitations, materials etc.
  • Cultivate high level of awareness and technical ย ย knowledge of Mikron Tool and NS Tool products
  • Study and understand new tools as they are developed and released to standard line
  • Works closely with internal tool team (Technical ย ย Engineering Team, Production engineering Team, Regional Sales Managers, ย ย Quality, SCM, Sales assistants and Technology center in CH, Manufacturing)
  • Visits to customers with RSM to assist with tool ย ย testing, troubleshooting and presentations on tooling solutions in accordance ย ย with department planning
  • Sporadic visits to Mikron Tool facilities in Europe
  • General office support when required and upon request for technical activity
Main tasks / Responsibilities
  • Provide application solutions to RSM and clients
  • Visit Customers for strategic applications in accordance with department planning
  • Produce Special tool quotations for requests, as well as for standard items and NS Tools withing the target RFQ to Quotation due date
  • Advice customers on new products and existing ย ย product functions / capabilities
  • Provide overall technical Advice to all Customers, Reps and Distributors by phone, email or other support
  • Interface with Mikron Tool in Agno for technical questions and problem solving
  • Use and file proper paperwork associated with ย ย quotations / parameter requests / technical assistance / tool recommendations ย ย and applications history
  • Support quotation process for all Mikron Tool locations
  • Contribute in developing and sharing team knowledge

Requirements

ย Skills/Professional Know-How

  • Experience in cutting tool technology is a plus
  • Expert knowledge in:
  • Metallurgy, metal alloys and carbide
  • Machining processes in drilling, milling and tapping
  • Able to read technical drawings and to sketch ideas ย ย and concepts
  • Systematic and analytical thinking
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge with SAP. CRM or similar systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills to present company, ย ย products and technology
  • Technical writing skills
