  • Prepare, place, and track tooling purchase orders with approved suppliers, coordinating deliveries, backorders, substitutions, and lead times to avoid production disruptions. Receive, stock, label, and organize tooling in designated tool room or point-of-use locations in accordance with established standards.
  • Track tooling issue, return, and consumption activity through the tool crib or inventory management system, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and accountability. Analyze tooling usage data to identify trends, abnormal consumption, tool life issues, and opportunities for standardization or cost reduction.
  • Actively engage with approved tooling distributors and manufacturer representatives, meeting regularly to stay informed on new tooling, coatings, grades, and technologies. Evaluate new tooling options and bring forward recommendations that are appropriate for Triangle's part mix, materials, and production environment.
  • Partner with CNC Programming, Manufacturing, and Engineering to support tooling selection by application, advising on appropriate tools, alternates, and standard tooling solutions within agreed practices. Provide input to programmers on tooling performance, availability, and cost considerations to support efficient and repeatable processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling performance, standardization, inventory accuracy, and cost control. Assist with tooling estimates and standard tool lists for new or repeat jobs as directed.
  • Prepare and maintain tooling-related documentation and records in compliance with the Quality Management System and audit requirements.
