Job Summary:
Intellisoft Technologies is seeking a Senior Tomcat Engineer to manage and optimize Apache Tomcat installations in complex production environments. The role involves administration, performance tuning, security management, and collaboration with DevOps teams to ensure high availability and performance of systems.
Responsibilities:
• Managing large-scale Apache Tomcat installations, including upgrades, patching, and configuration management (e.g., MBean attributes).
• Optimizing JVM performance, thread pools, and connector settings to maintain service levels.
• Conducting vulnerability management, regular security scans, and implementing hardened configurations.
• Analyzing complex service level issues and identifying root causes in production environments.
• Working with DevOps teams to integrate Tomcat with NGINX, Apache HTTP, or load balancers.
• Using scripting for deployments and routine maintenance.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 10+ Years of experience
• 7+ years of experience in Tomcat
• 6 years of experience in middleware platforms with specialization in Tomcat build and support activities
• Understanding on Deployment of Tomcat applications in Red Hat OpenShift container platform
• Flexible to work on a rotational basis Night shift coverage
• Creating the DNS URLs for all the respective instances
• Creating LB request for NW team for LB creation
• NAME creation for the DNS
• Good understanding of Chef JSON file
• Knowledge with Autosys jobs to setup auto reboot for both Weekly and Monthly for each servers environments
• Y8 Cert creations for DB2
• Make sure all the PSE PROD servers are in Break Glass before Go-Live
