We are expanding our operations and have an immediate opportunity for a Landscape Supervisor for our operations in Danbury, Connecticut.
What is the opportunity?
The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for managing all job operations. He/she coordinates the procurement and schedules resources such as labor, equipment, and materials to deliver finished landscape jobs to Toll Brothers homebuyers. Under the Supervisor's direction jobs are to be completed on time and within budget, ensuring safety guidelines and quality standards are a priority while achieving high homebuyer satisfaction.
What are the primary responsibilities?
  • Coordinate, direct, and manage Foreman and subcontractors performing landscape activities on multiple job sites daily through job completion
  • Create job schedules; prioritize and assign tasks; adjust schedules as necessary in response to weather conditions, staff absences and/or subcontractor delays
  • Track and provide actual job materials, labor, and subcontractor costs to the administration team for timely distribution of job cost reports
  • Oversee job activities to ensure work is performed safely, on time, and within budget
  • Conduct instruction and training to on-site personnel and subcontractors
  • Ensure that the design is constructed and completed to the satisfaction of the customer
  • Perform warranty and obtain customer signoff
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Does this describe you?
  • Through knowledge of landscape, hardscape, and LED lighting installation
  • Experience in supervising 3-4-person installation crews
  • Ability to read and understand landscape and grading plans
  • Ability to estimate landscape and hardscape installations
  • Excellent communications skills, both orally and in writing; able to respond to questions from customers, on-site personnel, and others
  • The majority of work is performed at the job sites, in an environment with various tools and construction equipment. Travel to job sites is required

Do you have these qualifications?
  • Essential:
    • 4+ years' experience supervising landscape and hardscape installations
    • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture or Landscape Contracting
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
