Credit Solutions Specialist
Capital Credit Union is all about turning the improbable into what's possible. We know that life is about growth, so we work together to deliver the simple, personalized banking our members deserve - backed by the knowledge and education they need to thrive. Come grow with us by becoming our newest credit solutions specialist! This position is open to all of our markets: Bismarck/Mandan, Hazen, New Salem, Flasher, and Fargo.
As our credit solutions specialist, you will help our risk management team with the control of delinquent loan accounts and pending late payment reminders.. Every day, you will follow up on delinquent and negative accounts by phone and/or letter; determine reason for delinquency and assist customers in developing a plan to bring accounts current. You'll be our primary liaison between Credit Union and collection agencies, attorneys, repossession agents and auctioneers for disposal of collateral so we can help our members reach their goals no matter how big or small.
Here's what you can expect:
  • Filing all claims, attending hearings, and coordinating with trustees for all bankruptcy filings
  • Reporting charge off recommendations and status of past due loans and shares
  • Collecting on loans and negative shares
  • Acting as a resource to all Credit Union staff in matters relating to collections and as a liaison between third parties
  • Supportive, positive environment
Here's what we expect:
  • 40 hours a week, typically 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
  • Two-year college degree or a minimum of two-years related work experience with progressively responsible duties
  • Effectively communicating with coworkers and members
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Passion for service and supporting the mission and vision of Capital Credit Union
