Job Summary:
The Fine Dining Bartender is responsible for crafting exceptional cocktails, recommending wine and beverage pairings, and delivering impeccable service that complements Basalt's elevated dining experience. This role demands a polished presence, technical expertise, strong product knowledge, and the ability to work seamlessly in a fast-paced, luxury restaurant environment.

Onsite: Black Desert Resort - Basalt
Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Part-Time
Pay Rate: $10/hr plus tips. This is the base rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities
  • Craft a wide range of classic and signature cocktails with precision and creativity
  • Provide expert recommendations for wine, spirits, and specialty beverages
  • Engage warmly with guests, using fine dining etiquette and personalized service techniques
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar before, during, and after service
  • Accurately process guest orders through the POS system and manage tabs with efficiency
  • Follow all alcohol service laws and Black Desert Resort policies regarding ID checks, responsible service, and guest safety
  • Prepare mise en place for cocktail ingredients, syrups, garnishes, and bar supplies
  • Maintain knowledge of current menus, seasonal offerings, promotions, and beverage trends
  • Collaborate with the restaurant's culinary and sommelier teams to create seamless guest experiences
  • Assist with opening and closing side work, including inventory counts and daily bar preparation
  • Handle guest concerns with professionalism and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Attend orientations and trainings
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a bartender in a fine dining, upscale, or luxury restaurant
  • Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer with an ability to articulate flavor profiles
  • Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service and possess or obtain required certifications.
  • Strong communication, guest service, and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in POS systems (e.g., Micros, Toast, or similar)
