Job description

BASIC PURPOSE This is a part-time, as-needed position, with training delivered during daytime, evening, or occasional weekend hours based on employer demand. Part Time Casual Employees are hired on a seasonal basis during peak periods, may serve a maximum of four consecutive months (i.e. summer/fall enrollment peak) and are limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week

Montgomery County Community College is seeking a Part-Time Continuous Improvement Workforce Trainer to deliver professional training programs for regional employers and workforce participants. The trainer will provide instruction in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies as part of the College's corporate training and workforce development initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities: Deliver training in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.

Facilitate courses such as Lean Fundamentals and Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belt programs. Lead hands-on training using real-world case studies and applied exercises. Collaborate with Workforce Development staff to customize training programs for employers.

Evaluate participant learning outcomes and maintain high-quality instructional standards. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations management, or a related field. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.

Minimum 5 years of industry experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Experience teaching, facilitating workshops, or delivering workforce training. Preferred Qualifications: Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification.

Master's degree in a related field. Experience working with manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, or service-sector operations.
